One of the highest honours a family can entrust a photographer with is documenting the time with their newborn baby. It's a beautiful and vulnerable period for a new family, and as any mom can tell you, the days are incredibly fleeting. Choosing someone to document that and trusting their vision and style is a huge honour.

My camera will be your pen, and your family is your letter. I have always been an artistic person, ever since I was little. I’ve always loved writing and taking pictures. I love words and how they can form a perfect story. I've always felt like writing could take you back in time, to a moment you could relive. My approach to photography is the same. I want to use photography to write you a letter. I want to use my camera as your pen to capture the smiles, the laughs, the hugs and butterfly kisses and the moments who make your family, you. I love the art of genuine connection and emotion and I pride myself on being able to deliver that to you so when you look back on your images. It creates a sense of nostalgia for how things were. 

So, if you come to me, be ready for a fun time! It won't feel like you are doing much more than just hanging out. I am all about my family, I completely understand how you are all about yours as well and how much this time and these memories mean to you. I want you to feel like this is a completely normal day except I will be there to capture this new chapter in your life. We will take breaks for feedings, to let siblings play and show me their most favourite toys. Sessions in your home aren't meant to be quick, they are meant to be relaxed and can take up to 2-3 hours.

Today is going to feel like ancient history this time next year. Whether you are planning the birth of a child, getting engaged and planning a wedding, gearing up for a child's preschool graduation, high school graduation or college graduation, time waits for no-one. Make your legacy tangible.

These images go well beyond anything money can buy. This is YOU. It's the way you embrace your family for all they are and all that you are. It is the way they love you. It is about all those details we take for granted at times. The tiny baby toes, yawns that reach for miles, beautiful little leg rolls, and lashes that reach to the sky. It's about the way your baby fits perfectly in your arms as if that nook their head lays in was made specifically for them. The way your husband looks at your new baby with the deepest look of protection and love. I want to capture the way you gaze at your new baby and get lost in your thoughts. I want to make sure you see the love you have for your baby because even though you feel it, so deeply, sometimes you can't physically see it.

This is why I don't heavily pose. I want your moments, your true moments. Our session will do just that in a fun, down-to-earth and unique approach.

INVESTMENT

All my sessions are all-inclusive with no further purchases required. They are digital in nature but I also offer cost products for all my clients from my professional print lab. What they invoice me is what you are charged. I do not take a commission for prints or products. The session retainer, as well as the digital images, are built into this price. All your digital images come in high-resolution format with full print release in an online gallery. Everything is included to make your life much easier. There are no hidden costs.

NEWBORN SESSION | $725

All newborn sessions are done as lifestyle sessions. All above images showcase exactly what a lifestyle session looks like, there is also more images in the Portfolio tab under Newborn. The best time to capture your brand new baby is between 7-14 days after birth. This allows you time to settle into your new normal, establish feeding patterns and still catch that sleepy period and small window where they are still curled up.
